Hi everyone,Welcome to the yoshi's eggy blog.I will share with u one of my most memorable experiences which are very unforgettable. One of the experiences was when I had a Secondary 1 Orientation in the beggining of the year. When the camp was coming, i was very excited and i was looking foward to the camp and the activities which are going to be held.
When the day arrived, I went to school with an excited and axious feeling about the camp. When i reached school, some seniors, called the Peer Support Leaders (PSL) were assigned to guide us around the school. We then went to the Lecture Theatre to know what activities will be carried out during the day. It all started when the school's Priest and Friar Michael gave an opening speech. We then knew which houses we are assigned to. (e.g. Michael, Lawrence, Fintan and Marcian) we then sang the cheers over and over again to familiarize our house cheers.
Soon, it was lunch time and we proceeded to the canteen for our lunch. The food was quite delicious and nice. After eating, we went to our classes and played various games with our Peer Support Leaders. The games involved lots of teamwork and they were also very fun and most of us enjoyed the games.
At about 6 p.m. , we went to the toilets at the first floor to have our showers. After showering, we all had our dinner at about 7 p.m. We then played a last game which is almost like the "Amazing Race." We had to go through various "checkpoints" to answer different questions about the school. After playing for about 1 hour, we were all tired and then directed to our respective classes to have a good night's sleep.
In the classroom, before we slept, we joked and laughed until 12 midnight before we slept. The next morning, we had to wake up at 6 a.m. We were then directed to the track to have our morning jog. After jogging for about 1 hour, we headed to the canteen to have our breakfast. Now it is the part which i was the most nervous and excited about. We went back to our classrooms to change into our school uniform and to put on a tie.
We were then guided to the PAC (Perfomance Arts Theatre) to get ready to be badged by our seniors to become a Josephian. We went up to the stage, with many parents looking at us, we were badged by our seniors. I felt so proud of myself being an official Josephian of the school and i plan to treaure the secondary school life I am going to have in future.
Finally, the Orientation Camp was over, I have had a very tiring day and my parents came to the school to fetch me home. I have had a memorable camp and i will remember this camp for the rest of my life.
